Job Overview

To sell branded items to customers whilst maintaining excellent customer service in compliance to the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E. requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E. tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Sales and marketing activities:
  • Ensure agreed monthly sales and GP targets are met.
  • Apply appropriate questioning and listening techniques according to customer needs.
  • Raise pick slip timeously and invoice.
  • Assist in all marketing activities, informing customers of special parts sales or promotions.
  • Qualify new customers and assist in verifying account identification.
  • Increase parts customer base by identifying potential customers and inform management.
  • Ensure boutique is stocked and that stock is displayed in such a manner to maximise sales.
  • Order stock timeously as discussed and agreed with the Parts Manager.
Administration
  • Ensure that customer information and vehicle vin number is captured accurately on Kerridge and invoices.
  • Process all requests for credits timeously.
  • Ensure payment is received before any parts are released.
  • Follow-up on all backorder parts and keep customers informed.
  • Receive and store boutique stock in a safe lockup area.
  • Ensure that relevant documentation is accurately filed.
Compliance And Risk Control
  • Ensure DRT procedure is followed at all times.
  • Ensure deposits are paid prior to ordering any non-returnable parts.
  • Ensure customers verify parts required by way of marking the required parts on a diagram.
  • Conduct regular stock takes of boutique stock.
  • Ensure strict access/key control into cash drawer/speed point.
  • Lock cash and receipt books away safely.
  • Inform management of any suspicious or doubtful payment.
Cash Handling And Banking
  • Receive payments (i.e. cash, cheques or credit cards).
  • Process according to agreed procedures and supply receipts to customers.
  • Bank all monies received daily according to Group procedures.
  • Obtain relevant bank codes on cheques and credit card authorizations.
  • Receive and verify all monies received from COD deliveries and receipt accordingly.
Customer Service
  • Attend to walk in customers and telephonic enquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain the companys corporate image and reputation at all times.
Ad Hoc Assistance
  • Carries out any other lawful and reasonable instruction as issued by line manager or any other person authorized to do so and within scope ability, skill and knowledge.
  • Minimum requirement: Grade 12 / NQF Level 4. A diploma is advantageous..
Experience
  • 1-2 years experience as a Sales Executive.
