Sales Executive - Marine and Diving

As the marine and diving salesperson for Gauteng and surrounding areas, you will be responsible for sales of international marine brands and Aqualung diving gear, using your knowledge and experience in the recreational and light-commercial sectors of the boating and diving industries.

It requires a self-driven individual with a broad technical product knowledge and a commitment to providing customers the support they need.

Developing the market in Gauteng and surrounds for marine and boating equipment in Gauteng and surrounds, which would include potential customers in other sectors.

Sales and support to new and existing dealers of diving equipment.

Inventory management and control.

Compiling and placing orders with overseas suppliers.

Requirements

Must have 5 years experience in the marine recreational/semi commercial and diving Sectors, dealing with OEMS and wholesalers

SCUBA qualification

Master Diver certification Beneficial

Skippers Ticket Beneficial

The key Requirements of a Marine & Diving Sales Executive is:

On road sales trips - Priority with key accounts on a weekly basis and fortnightly with smaller Accounts.

Out of town sales trips, quarterly rotation by region.

Sales processes include quotations, preparations, picking, delivering and/or confirming courier dispatch details included waybill information.

Manage and maintain the back ordering of products and spares with dealers where necessary.

Seek to expand our network through new client acquisition on all diving, marine and watersport markets.

Building relationships - Develop and maintain strong and long-term relationships with the dealer base.

Meeting customer needs - Understanding the customers needs and ensuring we can develop, manage and maintain the customers expectation.

Increasing sales - Through understanding the customers needs we can upsell and cross-sell products through our product offering.

Managing client complaints and finding solutions to resolve any issues if they arise.

Working with internal teams - It is essential to communicate with internal teams so that product and services are delivered successfully and on time.

Negotiating contracts - Salesperson will be required in some cases to introduce, manage and maintain sales agreements between the client and company ensuring targets and measurements are met.
