Sales Lead SA and Sub Sahara

Global manufacturer and supplier of health and nutritional products requires an experienced Sales Lead for South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa, namely Kenya and Nigeria. This position is based in Isando, Johannesburg.

Matric and tertiary education

5 to 10 years of experience in commercial positions (Marketing, Sales or other commercial roles)

Previous Or Current Sales Experience Within Nigeria Is Required

Proven leadership and change management skills

Experience in building high-performance teams across cultures, countries and industries

Result driven, ability to shape strong communication and motivational skills

Fluent in English

Proven trach record in value selling and growing business well above market growth

Systems (SAP, BW, Office) knowledge at user level

Good performance record at sales / key account level and strong negotiation skills

Budget

Accountable for the results within RMEA by ensuring Sales, GPX, OPEX, DSO targets are met for the respective segments

Leadership

Lead the sales segment teams (9 staff) and engage closely with distribution partners across the network

Business Management

Manage the organization, the business and the key customers in such a way that the business is developed whilst keeping to the company values

Business Development

Based on the segment strategic plan drive the execution of the key strategic projects and ensure that the pipeline and sales growth objectives for them are met

Business Planning

Ensure that a 12 months sales target is set and in IBP forecasted for 24 months at a customer and product level.

Achieve the short- medium- and long-term ambitions of the region

Performance Management

Perform monthly performance dialogues with each and every direct report reviewing customer and sales, growth actions, customer projects and redirecting activities to capture opportunities and /or fill gaps

Commercial Management

In close co-operation with regional commercial management, ensure that prices and margins are implemented at the customer and help direct reports to book the business

P&O

Ensure a high performance business team is in place by the recruiting and developing the best talent - make the changes to the composition when necessary in a professional manner
