The Groups key business segments are Manufacturing and Commercial Pharmaceuticals comprising Regional Brands and Sterile Focus Brands. OBJECTIVE:

To develop, maintain and grow Aspens / Ethicare Hospital portfolio within the private market, through effective management of both the operational sales and Key account functions.

Responsibility of working directly with external stakeholders KOLS, this role will support the key interface and striving to achieve growth and revenue targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational Excellence
  • Development of a Hospital sales through recruiting, objective setting, implementation of sales plans and performance monitoring
  • Build, maintain and manage relationships with respective wholesalers and top KOLs in line with the company objectives to drive financial performance
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements
  • To manage allocated sales budget through effective co-ordination of sales activities and behaviours, key accounts, Key Opinion leaders and expense budget within the region
  • Monitor and follow up on all customer queries and ensure that they are resolved in the shortest possible timeframe within policy framework
  • Drive and enable growth of market share and action budgets for market share
  • Foster a cross functional teamwork approach and a sense of partnership with all Commercial and Support functions, aimed at optimizing opportunities and exploiting synergies
Strategy Delivery
  • Ensure alignment of Divisions activities in order to achieve Companys strategic goals
  • Ensure that all marketing strategies are communicated, understood, effectively implemented, and monitored, providing feedback regarding effectiveness of these strategies
  • Partner with all business areas in order to understand and deliver strategic performance insights and key analytics solutions, either through monthly or quarterly meetings
People and development
  • Build and develop a high performing team through active coaching and mentoring, with clearly defined development plans
  • Manage human resource needs related to recruitment, performance management, selection and development.
  • Ensure each sales Representative within the region understands, accepts, and adheres to the policies and procedures
  • Mange and hold performance discussions on a regular basis in order to identify learning requirements
  • Manage disciplinary action in line with IR policy in cases of poor performance and inappropriate behaviour by staff
  • Responsible for the management of sales reps through defining sales and marketing strategies into team goals
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to develop and grow the Hospital portfolio within the pharmacies, clinic, KOL space
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements
  • Conduct internal stakeholder workshops and forums to enhance learning and understanding data, audits, and analytical processes

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • MS office with Advanced Excel Competency
  • QlikView, TPM, IMS, and SSD Models, Veeva
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Matric/ Grade 12
  • Relevant tertiary education would be an advantage i.e. BSc/ B Pharmacy, B Comm
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales management experience in the Pharma environment
  • Minimum 2-3 years people management
  • Experience in the Hospital and vaccines market advantageous
  • Experience in implementation of sales strategies
  • Competent understanding of all sales force activities
  • Must be computer literate in MS excel, power point and word
