The purpose of this role is to maximize sales opportunities for all wholesale accounts and to drive effective sales strategies in line with the objectives of the business.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 qualification is essential
- A sales and marketing related tertiary qualification will be an added advantage
- Sales experience in the FMCG sector is essential and within the Poultry industry is a great advantage
- Establishing strong relationships with all Wholesale, Independent and Catering Customers
- Professionally respond to all inbound sales inquiries
- Interaction with Liaison Manager for new business opportunities
- Sales administration
- Promoting and growing the county fair brands and range with new and existing customers
- Interacting and negotiating products and prices with our existing and new clients
- Work towards a healthy on-shelf display of all our products across all categories
- Maintaining and grow your customer base by looking for new business opportunities
- Plan, manage, coordinate and attend trade shows and exhibitions as required
- Manage assigned territory.
- Gather and communicate Market Intelligence/Adverts to improve our competitive advantage
- Keep control and maximize shelf space, and on-shelf availability (OSA) of all County Fair products and do quality checks
- Complete weekly Wholesale/ Independent price surveys
- Ensure good time management and regular customer visits/calls.
- Daily focus on stock sheet for stock movement
- Daily handling of customer complaints
- Maintaining good customer service and business relationships with all customers
- Servicing internal and external customers effectively
- Communicating out of stocks to customers
- Recording and communication of store fridge breakdowns, chillers and freezer temperature deviations
- Returns management according to the Companys return policy
- Accountable to drive daily targets set out by the business, either to meet or exceed targets
- Ensure daily KPIs are met
- Computer literate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
- Excellent administration and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and swift resolution of queries within the scope of the role
- Basic understanding of the 20 Keys concept is essential;
- Able to work independently and have attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work within a team environment is a key requirement
- Able to multi-task and assist with other duties within the department as assigned from time-to-time
- Must be bilingual with reference to the customer base
- Must have a reliable vehicle with a valid code 8 drivers license
