Sales Lead (Tech Start-Up)

Job Type: On Site | Full-Time

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is desirable.
  • 3-5 years experience , with at least 2 years team lead or managerial experience.
  • Experience in lead generation and business development
  • Hands on telephonic sales experience and the ability to demonstrate achievement in this environment.
  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques and best practices.
  • Capacity to manage various projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Ability to analyse data and trends and determine actionable steps required.
  • Experience within the ecommerce and or technological industry would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity and passion for the startup environment would be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop a robust sales strategy for the company and build on existing structures in place if possible.
  • Manage and mentor the sales team to optimize their performance and ensure they meet given targets.
  • Provide guidance and coaching where necessary to the sales team.
  • Lead by example by being an active new business hunter alongside your team.
  • Direct and coordinate all sales teams activities.
  • Deal with and manage escalated partner queries from the sales team to ensure a
  • positive partner experience.
  • Coordinate with the HR department on the recruiting and training needs of the sales
  • department.
  • Prepare accurate and insightful reports and presentations to update management on
  • sales progress.
  • Analyse and keep abreast of competitors strategies and changes in the industry.
