SAP FI Principal Consultant - Senior Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and senior SAP Finance (FI) expert to join our team as a SAP FI Principal Consultant - Senior Manager. The successful candidate will have a strong background in SAP FI, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, and a proven track record of delivering complex SAP FI projects. The ideal candidate will be a K5 SAP Consultant with Tier 1 consulting experience and will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of SAP FI solutions, including the simplification of the Chart of Accounts, hierarchies, and master data management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP FI Strategy and Implementation:
    • Develop and implement SAP FI strategies, including the simplification of the Chart of Accounts, hierarchies, and master data management.
    • Lead the design and implementation of SAP FI solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and obtain feedback.
  • Chart of Accounts Simplification:
    • Conduct an As-Is analysis of the current Chart of Accounts, identifying drivers of poor data quality and areas for improvement.
    • Develop a position paper outlining proposed solutions, including recommendations for simplification and reduction of the Chart of Accounts.
    • Present findings and proposed solutions to stakeholders and governance bodies for approval.
  • Hierarchy Simplification:
    • Analyze existing hierarchies, identifying areas for simplification and reduction.
    • Develop a plan to simplify hierarchies, considering reporting objectives and stakeholder requirements.
    • Implement changes to hierarchies, ensuring clear descriptions and documentation.
  • Master Data Management:
    • Review and enhance master data business requirements, influencing and driving conceptual solutions design for master data technology (MDG, SAP Stack).
    • Align master data technology Functional System Specification with conceptual solutions design, focusing on Legal Entity, Cost Centre/Profit Centre, and General Ledger.
  • Data Quality Improvement:
    • Identify root causes of poor data quality and develop solutions to address these issues.
    • Implement data quality improvement initiatives, ensuring a 20% remediation of data quality issues by October 20, 2025.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and obtain feedback.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including governance bodies and business users.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor junior consultants, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Develop and maintain a high-performing team, with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
    Requirements

    Requirements:
    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on SAP FI.
    • K5 SAP Consultant certification, with Tier 1 consulting experience.
    • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, including GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with strong stakeholder management skills.
    • Proficient in SAP systems, including SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
    • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as SAP Business Intelligence (BI) or other data visualization tools.
