SAS Developer
Requirements:
- Honours in BCom Degree (any), Information Technology, Computer Systems Engineer
- Oracle certification (Added Advantage)
- 5 years’ experience in an IT development environment of which at least 3-5 years specialisation in Oracle
- Experienced in working with large volumes of data
- Extensive Oracle database development experience
- Experienced PL / SQL Developer (MUST HAVE)
- Experienced SAS ETL Data warehouse developer(MUST HAVE)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in Netezza
- Working knowledge of Unix (Preferred, but not required)
- Microsoft office suite
Responsibilities
- Must be able to function as part of a team
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders, provide advice to business on best practise form a technical point of view
- Engage with business and gather requirements. Successfully relate business requirements to the technical solutions
- Identify and resolve most complex technical issues related to a specific product (final point of resolution before consulting externally)
- Documentation of all processes, procedures according to set standards
- Act as a technical development lead on projects
- Provide specialist advice and counsel to functional / and non-functional user personnel and projects teams on the technical specialty
- Development complex solutions using Oracle, SAS or Netezza that meet both business and technology requirements
- Develops the skill within the organisation, act as skills mentor on specific product
- Stays abreast of changes related to the product
