Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to design, implement, and oversee secure network and access solutions within a Zero Trust framework. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Secure Service Edge (SSE), identity and access management, and cloud security architectures. This role requires strategic planning, hands-on implementation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance the organization's security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Architecture & Strategy

• Develop and implement a Zero Trust security architecture, ensuring least-privilege, identity-based access controls.
• Design and maintain secure network architectures leveraging SASE and SSE frameworks.
• Define security best practices, policies, and compliance requirements in alignment with industry standards.

Technology Implementation & Management

• Deploy and manage Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions to secure applications and data.
• Oversee Cisco ISE implementation for streamlined access management and zero-trust enforcement.
• Configure and optimize F5 Big IQ for scalable, remote access solutions.
• Manage identity security using Microsoft Entra ID, ensuring robust authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Utilize Microsoft Intune for containerized mobile application access and continuous security enhancements.
• Implement Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and Secure Service Edge (SSE) to protect cloud-based workloads and remote users.

Risk Management & Compliance

• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks within the enterprise infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, GDPR, POPIA).
• Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing in collaboration with security teams.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Zero Trust security, identity access management (IAM), and cloud security.
• Work closely with network engineers, DevOps, IT, and business units to implement security solutions.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to security teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT architecture roles.
• Strong expertise in Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Cisco ISE, F5 Big IQ, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, SASE, SSE.
• Experience in designing and implementing security architectures in complex enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of cloud security models (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security frameworks.
• Familiarity with endpoint security, encryption, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, Microsoft Security Certifications, F5, or Zero Trust-related credentials.
• Experience in the telecommunications sector or working with large-scale enterprise networks.
