We are currently seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team in Free State. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. This is a permanent position with full-time hours.
Job Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain a secure environment
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems
- Respond to emergencies and alarms promptly
- Enforce company security policies and procedures
- Report any suspicious activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities
- Provide assistance to employees and visitors as needed
- Valid Security Officer licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
- Physical fitness and ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a security-related role preferred
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Ability to use surveillance systems and equipment
- Good judgement and decision-making skills
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Additional security training or certifications
- Full-time position with expected work hours
- May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Exposure to various weather conditions
- Potential for physical confrontations with individuals
