Where will the successful candidate fit in?
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the full accounting function and play an integral part within the Finance team. We are looking for a proactive and detail-orientated Senior Accountant to support our finance operations.
Job Duties:
- Perform account reconciliation
- Fixed Asset Register Maintenance
- Ensuring quality control and accuracy over all financial transactions, compliance, and financial reporting.
- Reviewing Income Statements and Balance Sheet items monthly up to management accounts.
- Preparing management packs
- Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
- Intercompany transactional accounting.
- Training staff when necessary.
- Supervising and assisting various bookkeepers/clerks.
- Assist with audits and taxes
- Insurance and financing.
- Any other Ad Hoc queries from bank, general managers, etc.
- And any other reasonable task requested by management.
- Bcom Accounting or similar degree and/or CA
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.
- Experience in using XERO and ERP accounting systems preferred.
- Corporate finance skills, and advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, including XLOOKUPS and pivot tables to analyze and organize financial data.
- Attention to detail.
- Well organized and able to work well under pressure.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
