Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong, mature, and detail-oriented personality to oversee the full financial operations of our organisation. The ideal candidate must have solid experience in management accounts, financial statements, reporting standards, and exposure to the Construction and Manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full management of accounts payable & receivable, invoice processing, reconciliations, and vendor/customer communication.
- Posting month-end journals, maintaining the general ledger, and reconciling bank, credit card, inter-company, and loan accounts.
- Preparing accurate management accounts, VAT & provisional tax calculations, and managing the fixed asset register.
- Monitoring inventory movements, variances, and performing stock reconciliations.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and maintaining organised financial records.
- Providing financial insights for decision-making and implementing internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Leading and mentoring the finance team.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
- Professional affiliation (SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years hands-on accounting experience.
- Strong reconciliation, reporting, VAT & tax experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting systems.
