Senior Accountant - Electronic Manufacturing - R560K - R460K

RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Cape Town. In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our clients, ensuring their accounting processes are efficient, accurate, and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the financial operations of our clients, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Reconcile and analyze various financial accounts, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved
• Collaborate with internal departments to develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, highlighting potential risks and opportunities to management
• Provide support during audit processes, ensuring all necessary documentation and financial records are readily available
• Stay updated with accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends, ensuring compliance and suggesting improvements as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• CA (SA)SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance
• Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
