SNR Bookkeeper

  • QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a 2-year diploma in a related field, with a second-year accounting designation and a minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
  • FURTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in managing financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping software, particularly QuickBooks, and willingness to upgrade computer skills as required.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Roles And Responsibilities

As Senior Bookkeeper you will report to the Head of Finance and your core duties shall include but not be limited to:

Perform bookkeeping tasks, including bank deposits, reconciliations, and accounts payable processing.

Assist in debtor account management, serving as a backup for invoicing and collections.

File VAT returns and ensure compliance with VAT regulations.

Reconcile and manage taxation records.

Provide financial support to branches in cost management and financial planning.

Collaborate with various departments to effectively manage costs and expenses.

Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Assist in paycard and petty cash management.

Manage credit card and fleet expenses.

Facilitate and support audit processes, including coordinating with auditors and preparing necessary documentation.

Ensure compliance with financial statutory requirements and reporting obligations.

Lead cost management initiatives.

Coordinate subscription renewals and payments.

Facilitate payments of insurance claims.

Manage general and other provisions.

Oversee 3rd party account management.

Assist with market conduct reports as required.

Maintain organized bookkeeping files.

Perform Clerical And Other Related Duties As Required.

Provide backup finance support when needed.
