- Must be registered with the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa (CGISA) (proof of valid membership is required).
- A relevant degree or diploma in governance, law, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of company secretariat experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the public sector
- Provide Secretariat Services to the Council (Board) and its Subcommittees.
- Attend all Council and Subcommittee meetings (primarily virtual).
- Prepare chairpersons draft reports and coordinate quorum confirmation.
- Compile and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, matters arising, and meeting packs (electronically and/or in hardcopy).
- Maintain attendance registers, declarations of interest, minute books, and resolutions registers.
- Provide governance advice during meetings, including compliance with King IV, the Companies Act, and public sector legislation.
- Support the Council, CEO, and all committees with administrative and legislative matters.
- Maintain confidentiality and securely store all records and recordings.
- Draft annual work plans aligned to the Councils reporting duties.
- Conduct annual Council and Subcommittee assessments.
- Prepare annual evaluation tools for the Secretariat service.
