We are looking to recruit a talented Data Scientist to join our team in Dubai. As a data scientist at Cobblestone Energy, you will be responsible for developing and testing new trading strategies, discovering new knowledge, and creating bespoke data-tools and forecasts to enable our trading and asset dispatch teams to make the correct moves in the market.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced analytics and infrastructure solutions to support power and gas trading operations.
- Collaborate with traders and other stakeholders to identify key business challenges and opportunities.
- Use data science techniques to build predictive models and other solutions that drive value for our organization.
- Develop systematic trading strategies across all of our markets.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of analytics solutions and make recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics)
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist
- Strong experience with predictive modelling and optimization algorithms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
- Proficiency in python programming language.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Experience in a power or gas trading markets is highly desirable but not required.
