Roles and Responsibilities

The Opportunity

You are an exceptional Senior Fundraiser with a proven track record to drive the foundations mission forward by securing the vital funding needed to sustain and grow the Foundation's transformative projects to secure a minimum of R8million per annum towards the Community Engagement projects. Working closely with the Head of Advancement, youll identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with partners and craft compelling proposals, with a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to ensure long-term financial sustainability. This will require strong knowledge of market trends and insights into South Africas donor landscape

Qualifications And Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following skillsets:

Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure approximately R8 million annually.
Identify, approach, and build strong, lasting relationships with potential donors, presenting compelling proposals and engaging them in long-term partnerships.
Collaborate with the Head of Advancement to develop high-quality proposals, presentations, and reports that clearly demonstrate the Foundation's impact.
Conduct market research to stay informed on corporate giving trends and proactively identify new partnership opportunities.
Provide regular, insightful reports on fundraising progress and donor engagement.
Cultivate strong, long-term networks and relationships with individual donors and prospects.
A minimum of 5 years' proven experience in fundraising or related fields, with a strong track record of securing significant donations.
Established relationships and a strong network within the corporate sector.
In-depth understanding of fundraising strategies, donor stewardship, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Knowledge of BEE and tax laws relevant to fundraising.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals, presentations, and reports.
A "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude, a natural networker and connector of opportunities, able to bridge the heart of the organisation with funding possibilities.
A high-level relationship builder with unquestionable trustworthiness, loyalty, integrity, and purpose-driven
