Key Responsibilities:
Active Directory and User Management:
- Dive into our lab environment and take charge.
- Create and manage user accounts in Active Directory like a pro.
- Set up and configure user mailboxes with ease.
- Reset passwords and tweak domain password policies.
- Configure login scripts and manage user email addresses.
- Add aliases to mailboxes and set up email forwarding.
- Keep mailbox sizes in check and configure warnings.
- Master DHCP and DNS configurations.
- Update router settings within the DHCP scope.
- Scavenge stale DNS records and keep the network clean.
- Configure DHCP servers and group policies.
- Create hidden shares and assign permissions.
- Manage security groups and folder permissions.
- Check server IP addresses, subnet masks, and network configurations.
- Differentiate between public and private IPs and manage server names and domain names.
- Configure RAID levels and take ownership of folders.
- Check the health of domain controllers and seize DC roles.
- Add additional domain controllers to existing domains.
- Unlock the key features of Microsoft 365 and secure user accounts.
- Implement storage redundancy options.
- Join Azure AD with Windows 10 devices and manage shared mailbox licenses.
- Set up conditional access policies and protect against ransomware.
- Gain access to user mailboxes for troubleshooting and perform Azure AD Connect syncs.
- Create VMs on Azure and set up Azure VPNs.
- Manage Azure Virtual Desktops and authenticate PowerShell sessions to O365.
- Open and manage OneDrive permissions.
- Check mailbox sizes and configure mailbox limits.
- Manage Exchange databases and move them as needed.
- Use native Microsoft utilities for Exchange Server database maintenance.
- Configure Exchange to receive mail for additional domains.
- Name and configure backup products and schedule backup jobs.
- Understand the importance of system state backups and standard restore processes.
- Explain cataloging and indexing in backups and develop disaster recovery plans.
- Configure Outlook and manage cached exchange modes.
- Configure email signatures and create PST files.
- Manage access to calendars and backup critical data.
- Configure shared printers and assign local administrative rights.
- Configure proxy servers and map network drives.
- Check and manage port numbers for various protocols.
- Understand NAT rules and differentiate between VLAN and VNET.
- Access network devices via console ports and manage ARP tables.
- Understand firewall brands and configurations.
- Manage failovers, load balancing, and user authentication on firewalls.
- Configure SSL-VPN connections and perform port forwarding.
- Block external servers/IPs and restrict firewall management access.
- Set up and monitor site-to-site VPN connections.
- Add additional admin users on MacOS.
- Use tools to ping IP addresses and map network shares.
- Ensure mapped drives are visible at login and manage IP addresses.
- Transfer data between Mac devices.
- Assign cluster IPs when setting up failover clusters.
- Troubleshoot cluster node failures and ensure VMs come back online.
- Recommend the best RAID configuration for SANs storing Exchange/SQL databases.
- Manage RAID 6 configurations and understand drive failure tolerances.
- Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for enhanced security.
- Set up users in Microsoft 365 within hybrid configurations.
- Respond to questions clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Maintain clear speech and a clear voice.
- Be open-minded and honest in all interactions.
- Work well as a team player.
- Follow procedures and be open to giving training.
- Capable of providing support for the USA help desk.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 10+ years of proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network configurations.
- Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Server.
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar.
- Experience with hybrid environments and cloud migrations.
- Knowledge of firewall configurations and security best practices
