ENVIRONMENT:
A pioneering Agriculture Technology company is seeking a skilled and passionate Product Designer to join their product team. As a Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing their design system, conducting user research, creating prototypes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for agricultural supply chain challenges. Your work will contribute to promoting transparency and insight across the agricultural sector. The successful candidate must have a degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field, proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or in a similar role and proficiency in Figma and other design software.
DUTIES:
- Enhance and expand existing design system to ensure consistency across all product lines.
- Willingness to travel to clients and between the Johannesburg and Cape Town offices to collaborate with different teams and customers (approximately one week every two months).
- Conduct user research and gather data insights through collaboration with other teams.
- Create prototypes to share and test concepts with stakeholders.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to develop high-fidelity Figma mockups and prototypes.
- Demonstrate an understanding of complex enterprise systems that meet and exceed client expectations.
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Figma and other design software.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your understanding of UI/UX principles and experience in creating user interfaces for complex systems.
- Experience in enterprise software design is highly desirable.
- Degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to balance aesthetics and functionality in your designs.
