Purpose of the Job
The Snr Project Engineer will lead the planning, execution and delivery of engineering and operational projects, ensuring they meet quality, time and budget constraints. Coordinating cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure project milestones are met. Developing and implement project scopes, schedules, and budgets, adjusting as necessary based on project demands or changes. Responsible for facilitating communication between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members, to ensure clear understanding of project objectives and progress.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
Post degree certificate in Project Management
Knowledge & Experience
Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated experience in project management (preferably in a manufacturing environment), coordinating activities for a project or cross functional team.
Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of engineering and project management methods such as plan and coordinate schedule, budget techniques, identify/plan/monitor priorities and work flow, technical and programmatic risk assessments, Synthesize program and technical requirements necessary to achieve objectives
Experience with project management tools and software.
Solid understanding of engineering principles and design.

Responsibilities
Functions & Tasks
KPI
Drawings
- Ensure project drawings, specifications and documentation are completed to standard
- Factory layouts (2D)
- Building plans
- Mechanical drawings
- Manuals, specifications
- Assist Projects Administrator with product drawings when required
- Manage contractors
- Negotiate costs
- Manage contractor safety documentation
- Ensure all contractors working on NCM sites are following safe practices
- Manage timeous and proper execution of projects
- Project management
- Prepare project documentation and scope sign off
- Ensure adequate design review and communication sessions with the relevant business unit
- Prepare technical drawings, layouts and designs required for construction
- Plan and oversee procurement of relevant components, materials and services for on time delivery
- Manage project issues, budgets and schedules
- Provide project close out documentation
- Identify technical and related improvements to products
- Identify technical and related improvements to equipment
- Provide technical assistance to maintenance/production personnel for completed projects
