- Fulfil the role of technology advisor, supporting the infrastructure team and responsible for implementing technological solutions for the business.
- Functions as a vital team member, administering operational tasks and maintenance schedules. Providing the technology, support, and services essential for the business to reach its organizational goals.
- Supporting the technical team on complex issues, providing assistance on escalated tickets, and fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Establish technical standards relating to hardware, software, and services for solutions and best practices. Assist in developing comprehensive project plans that include scope, timeline, and budget estimates.
- Exhibit a high level of ingenuity and independence, thinking outside the box for solutions utilizing knowledge of various concepts, practices, and procedures. Can rely on varied and sometimes limited experience while using sound judgment to troubleshoot complex tasks and objectives.

- Infrastructure Management and Maintenance
- Design, implement, and optimize on-premises and cloud-based IT infrastructure to ensure performance, availability, and scalability.
- Administer operational tasks, including system patching, updates, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Maintain network and server security, implementing best practices for firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
- Security and Compliance:
Ensure infrastructure solutions comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, SOC).
Administer and conduct disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including regular testing of backup and failover systems.
Technical Documentation:
Develop detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and troubleshooting guides.
Provide training and guidelines for end-users and support teams to ensure best practices are followed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience and certifications).
- Strong hands-on experience delivering solutions using the following technologies: Active Directory, DHCP/DNS, MS Windows Server, MS Azure, Office365 Admin, MS Teams Admin and MS Intune.
- Proven experience as a senior systems engineer with a track record of successfully delivering IT projects.
- Proficiency in systems administration, cloud administration, network protocols, and software deployment.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, and perimeter defences.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to perform well under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and collaboration.
