We are an ISP in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town and we are seeking a passionate, driven, innovative, dynamic, go getter young individual with a passion for IT to join our helpdesk team in Tokai, Southern Suburbs.
Job requirements:
- The role is an exciting opportunity and an immediate position to start ASAP.
- Please note that only South African citizens already residing in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town will be considered.
- The candidate must reside in the Southern Suburbs with own reliable transport (own vehicle), must be flexible and willing to work extra hours if necessary.
- Advanced Linux administration skills.
- Firm understanding of DNS and DNS hierarchical structure, Bind etc.
- Firm understanding of Radius, RFC 2866, NAS, Realms etc.
- Firm understanding of POP3/SMTP and MX Configuration.
- Advanced routing understanding and implementation.
- Firm understanding of Cisco Configuration its proprietary protocols.
- General Understanding of Wireless protocols and network design.
- Firm understanding of Datacentre design and Network Engineering (Hardware)
- Must be a strong leader.
- Experience in an ISP and a client service driven solution IT environment.
- MCSE, N+ & A+ qualification.
- Understanding of SLA adherence.
- Hosting Understanding with at least 1 year's experience.
- C-Panel Understanding and experience.
- Basic Protocols- TCP/IP, FTP,HTTP.
- Basic hardware– routers servers, workstations, etc.
- Remote Desktop or similar remote tools.
- Security, backup and restores.
- LAN, WAN configuration
- Supporting end users across multiple sites/locations.
- Proficient in supporting Windows, LINUX, Mac
- Internet connectivity - ADSL, Diginet, VPN knowledge, bandwidth prioritizing and wireless
- Microsoft Office proficiency a non-negotiable
- Sales – Extensive knowledge of Connectivity, Routing, Networking, Hardware & Software, Hosting, Desktop Support, Leading Market IT trends and solutions.
Job responsibilities:
- Position requires the ability to coordinate, deliver on goals and targets within turnaround time and maintain and improve IT standards.
- Essential requirement is the accuracy and solution deliverance of the position.
- Identify, validate, find solutions and implementation
- Provide motivation, training, growth, guidance and manage the department
