SHEQ Manager ��� Plastics / Chemical Manufacturing

A well-known masterbtach company manufacturing for the plastic converting industry requires the above to handle all SHEQ responsibilities driving, managing, implementing and maintaining an integrated system with regards to quality, food safety, environment and health and safety for the company.

Minimum Requirements For The Role
  • A qualification in safety and quality or a higher diploma or degree in a science or related qualification is essential for this role.
  • Previous experience having worked in a SHEQ role within the chemical and related manufacturing industries is essential.
  • Previous experience having managed staff is preferred.
  • Previous experience having worked with ISO 22000 is essential (food packaging) as well as environmental ISO 14000 and systems ISO 45000 is preferred.
  • Previous experience having managed current systems and implementing ISO 45000 and ISO 14000 is essential.
  • Must have excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Previous experience having worked within either the polymer/plastic or master batch manufacturing industries is preferred but not essential.
The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For
  • Handling all SHEQ responsibilities driving, managing, implementing and maintaining an integrated system with regards to quality (ISO 9001), food safety (ISO 22000), environment (ISO 14000) and health and safety (ISO 45000) for the company.
  • Improving efficiencies throughout the plant, such as process and workflow improvements.
  • Driving and overseeing internal and external auditing throughout the company.
  • Managing and overseeing all customer complaints and corrective actions.
  • Handling all non-conformances raised during the internal and external audits.
  • Drive and oversee corrective and preventative actions from HODs, which must be followed up and managed/implemented.
  • Conducting audit action plan meetings, and project managing the action plan with the relevant people through to project completion.
  • Planning and conducting all internal systems audits, supplier visits, audits and inspections.
  • Preparing for and facilitating customer audits.
  • Implementing and maintaining training programmes to upskill all staff.
  • Planning and conducting training needs for the factory, GMP, GWP, ISO awareness and any other training deemed necessary to maintain the integrated system.
  • Managing the procurement and issuing of PPE for all personnel.
  • Managing and driving health and safety throughout the site, maintaining existing systems and improving these systems to implement an ISO45000 rating in future.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
