The Junior Sourcing Coordinator is a process-driven role responsible for the end-to-end management of product inquiries and supply chain research. This position serves as the functional link between Sales and Global Supply, ensuring that all Requests for Quotation (RFQs) are validated, researched, and processed with 100% accuracy. The ideal candidate is a highly organized individual with roughly one year of procurement or coordination experience who can thrive in a regimented, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities & Team Leadership
1. Workflow Coordination & Indirect Management
1.1 Facilitate the daily distribution of tasks to a small sourcing team, ensuring all inquiries are handled according to established priority levels.
1.2 Provide functional oversight of the teams output, verifying that search protocols are followed and data integrity is maintained across all internal platforms.
1.3 Manage and audit the Monday.com sourcing boards to ensure real-time visibility for the Sales and Fulfillment departments.
2. Technical Research & Market Analysis
2.1 Execute rigorous online research to verify technical specifications and market availability for specialized equipment.
2.2 Utilize a "risk-adverse" search strategy, cross-referencing private supplier networks, global brokers, and digital marketplaces to identify the most cost-effective solutions.
2.3 Act as a critical filter for the Sales team by identifying and resolving technical discrepancies in product documentation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Organizational Discipline: A natural preference for "regimented" workflows and a high attention to detail.
- Critical Thinking: The ability to independently research unknown technical items and present logical, verified findings.
- Assertive Communication: Professional maturity to provide direction to a small team and maintain accountability regarding deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in internet-based research and Microsoft Excel. Experience with project management software (e.g., Monday.com) is highly advantageous.
