Starke Ayres is the foremost African specialist and global supplier of premium vegetable, flower and lawn seed varieties both for commercial and home garden planting. The following position has become available for a General Worker, based in Oudtshoorn.
The purpose of the job is to assist under supervision with the cleaning of simulation samples and small seed lots and to assist, where required by instruction from management.
Responsibilities
- Under supervision from the cleaning manager and Senior Machine Operator: Clean simulation samples for QC tests.
- Under supervision from the cleaning manager and Senior Machine Operator: Clean small and medium seed lots.
- Ensure simulation machines are cleaned and inspected before work commence and report any machine faults to Cleaning Manager.
- Assists fellow workers with execution of tasks whenever own responsibilities have been executed and completed.
- Ensures that work area/s are neat, tidy, organised and clean at all times. (Housekeeping)
- Ensure that all procedures as per Company requirements are followed accurately.
- Assists with and adheres to security measures to ensure the safety of personnel, products, assets and facility.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 (essential)
- 1 Year General Worker (preferential)
