Stock Control Manager

Job Function
Seeking a highly analytical Inventory Manager to oversee and optimise our end-to-end inventory management processes across the operation. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic thinking skills, excellent attention to detail, and proven experience in driving stock accuracy, reducing waste, and enhancing supply chain efficiency. This role requires a proactive leader who can interpret data, implement controls, collaborate across functional teams, and ensure inventory availability that supports worldclass service delivery.

Key Performance Areas
  • Inventory Accuracy & Control Maintain optimal stock accuracy through cycle counts, root cause analysis, and control measures.
  • Data & Analytics Use data tools and reporting dashboards to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Process Improvement Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline inventory processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Warehouse Coordination Work closely with operations teams to align physical flow with system transactions and reduce discrepancies.
  • Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to company policies, audit standards, and inventory governance frameworks.
  • Loss Prevention & Risk Management Implement and monitor controls to prevent shrinkage, damage, and stock losses.
  • Reporting & Insights Deliver accurate monthly, weekly, and daily inventory reports with actionable insights for leadership.
  • Coordinate and participate in learning interventions to establish a learning and development culture within the team.
  • Create an engaging, enabling, and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition by demonstrating leadership through personal commitment to organizational values.
Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's or equivalent 3-year degree (NQF Level 7).
Experience and Skills Required
  • 5 7 years' experience in inventory management or supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the manage and development of people, optimising their outputs and effectively manage relationships, in order to achieve organisational goals.
  • Knowledge of labour relations policies and procedures in dealing with labour matters in a work environment.
  • Understands and applies policies and procedures related to stock control.
  • Experience performing root-cause analysis and developing corrective action plans.
  • Excellent problemsolving, criticalthinking, and decisionmaking abilities.
  • High attention to detail, organisation, and process discipline.
