• Matric (Maths and Science) / Grade 12
• Forklift and Cherry picker license will be an advantage

, Experience,

Workshop/Storekeeping Background:

• Minimum of 23 years experience in a mechanical workshop, warehouse, or engineering store environment

Mechanical Knowledge:

• Familiarity with mechanical parts, tools, consumables, and workshop equipment to ensure correct issuing and storage

Statutory Inspections:

• Experience coordinating and ensuring timely statutory inspections of lifting equipment and tackle

Safety & Compliance:

• Practical experience in applying occupational health and safety standards, especially in handling hazardous materials like oils and chemicals

, Duties,

Inventory Management:

• Maintaining accurate records of all workshop parts, tools, and consumables

Storage & Organization:

• Ensuring materials are stored securely and systematically for quick and easy access

Issuing Materials:

• Providing mechanics with the correct parts, oils, and consumables in line with requisitions

Stock Control:

• Monitoring usage levels, preventing shortages, and coordinating timely replenishment of supplies

Safety Compliance:

• Adhering to safe handling and storage practices, particularly for hazardous substances such as oils and chemicals

Statutory Inspections:

• Ensuring all lifting equipment and tackle are inspected on schedule and in full compliance with statutory requirements
