Structural Design Engineer

Overview
As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be specialising in the design and development of telecommunication towers and related products as well as developing tools to capture and maintain information on the equipment loads on the towers.

Role Responsibilities
As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing comprehensive structural designs for telecommunication towers and related products that meet industry standards and regulations.
- Performing structural analysis and simulations to ensure the stability and integrity of the designs.
- Utilizing your expertise in designing foundations and concrete structures according to the guidelines of ACI 318.
- Designing new telecommunication towers and complementary products that meet the specific requirements of our clients.
- Preparing detailed technical reports, documentation, and specifications related to the design and development process.
- Utilizing AutoCAD software to create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and models of telecommunication towers.
- Ensuring that all telecommunication tower designs adhere to relevant safety codes, building regulations, and industry standards.
To succeed in the role, you will be/will have:
- A Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in a related engineering field, with a focus in structural or mechanical engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and analysing telecommunication towers or similar steel latticed structures and their foundations.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software for creating detailed fabrication and GA drawings. Preferred software includes Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- A solid understanding of structural engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read, interpret and visualize drawings
- Proficiency in both French and English
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
