The key purpose of this role is to manage and operate the Utilities operations while ensuring the management of the BTS plant is highly considerable. Ensuring Safety procedures are highly maintained while ensuring the compliance of the 5s to reduce the number of safety incidents but as well as create an ideal working environment.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Strategy:
- Agrees strategic direction for the function aligned to business needs and the VPO.
- Ensures alignment of the business strategy.
- Develops and implements KPIs and reporting systems and analyses the PIs/KPIs to provide business insight Governance & Standards
- Ensure compliance to applicable statutory maintenance requirements for Utilities.
- Ensure SHE maintenance work practices and procedures are developed and adhered to.
- Ensure governance / compliance to maintenance standards and practices are adhered to.
- Audit Energy and Fluids across plant & ensure the plant closes audit gaps.
- Provides support to Malting in identification of Energy & Fluids 1 year and 3-year glide paths and plans.
- Development of VA initiatives for malting plant and delivers on identified VA initiatives.
- Actively involved in the compilation, execution of Utilities budgets.
- Ensure resource availability to improve E&F and the Malting efficiency (i.e.TEL).
- Implement E&F Global processes and best practices (GOPs, SWEEP, Levers etc).
- Process integration of Capin projects.
- Ensure optimum Utilities Shutdown plans are in place Continuity and Risk.
- Develop and standardize system Utilities availability Business Continuity Plan (BCP) plans for countries and plants.
- Develops and implements approaches to mitigate obsolescence.
- Ensure sharing of best practices for Utilities management.
- Monitors Utilities quality parameters (IQMS).
- Implements Ammonia and Steam Process Safety Management programs.
- Managing the BTS plant.
- Ensure reporting, investigation, documentation and action of incidents as per the relevant acts and procedures.
- Promote safety awareness.
- Ensure compliance with special work permit requirements by fellow employees and contractors.
- Maintain 5 S and housekeeping standards.
- Responsible for fault-finding and problem solving.
- Identifies losses in plant area and investigates using problem solving methodologies. (5 Why, Stage 1 etc.)
- Review emergency works orders and initiate investigations and corrective action.
- Communicate effectively in teams.
- Contribute to self and team development.
- All work is carried out using the VPO principles.
- Understands, Implements and Complies to the GOP and Tool kit requirements.
- Sustains what has been implemented.
- Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- At least 2-3 years FMCG or beverages experience in industrial electrical and mechanical engineering and maintenance.
