CBC St John’s Parklands school is seeking to employ IT teacher for grades 1-7 to start working July 2017.
Job requirements:
- Must be willing to promote the school's Catholic ethos.
- Must be registered with SACE.
- Must be creative and innovative.
- Passion for ICT and education.
- ICDL or Microsoft Office certifications (advanced Excel skills would be advantageous)
- A+, N+, MCSE or equivalent level IT certification.
- 3 years experience in a computer teaching and or a networking-related IT role.
- Must have worked on Microsoft Server 2008 creating and managing users as well as some experience with Microsoft Exchange would be advantageous.
- Must have previous experience in a school environment.
- Must be willing to become fully involved in the school's curricular and co-curricular programme.
Job responsibilities:
- Promoting the use of IT within the school by the training and coaching of staff in the integration of ICT in the classroom.
- Install and provide support for new and existing software.
- Co-ordinate IT support tickets for our entire school (Admin, Pre School, Junior and Senior School) in conjunction with our outsourced network administrator.
- Provide first line user support when needed.
- Develop and maintain the physical network infrastructure which may include some afterhours work.
- Run, promote and grow our WeDo and NXT Robotics Clubs within the school.
- Maintain and control printers and print management software.
- Prepare school reports and certificates.
- Maintain an up-to-date asset and insurance register.
- Maintain and control the IT budget of the school and be responsible for all IT procurement.
- The applicant must have his/her own transport.
Work hours are: Monday to Friday 08h00 to 16h30 (must be available to work after hours if required).
