ROLE SUMMARY:
To adopt a holistic view to children in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment and motivate children to achieve their full potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Holding duty
- Toilet routine (whenever a child needs)
- Change children
- Clean children during toilet visits
- Change nappies (Stage 1 and 2 children)
- Help during table activities:
- Help put on aprons
- Help write names
- Help children wash hands
- Cut templates, collage cutting etc.
- Tidy the home corner (what children cant do, fold etc.)
- Put out and pack up the snack mat
- Tidy lockers and shelves at the end of each day
- Playground set ups
- Pack away books and puzzles
- Extra Mural duties
- Able to set clear expectations and stretching goals
- Adaptable teaching style incorporating feedback
- A depth of understanding in the relevant subject area
- Ability to judge learning effectiveness
- Excellent preparation and planning
- Assessment of children outcomes and feedback to enhance performance
- Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of child welfare
- Good with children
- Good time management skills and strong team orientation
