I have a strong background in education and a genuine passion for teaching, I firmly believe that I possess the qualities and skills necessary to excel as an educactor. Throughout my academic and professional career, I have demonstrated a deep commitment to the field of education. I have a solid foundation in educational theory and pedagogy, which I have successfully applied in various teaching roles. My name is Prince Vonani Rivombo. I am a qualified Physical Science and Mathematic Teacher. I completed the Bachelor of Education in senior phase and FET at the University of South Africa (From 2020 to 2023) of which I graduated with distinction. My major subjects are Mathematics and Physical sciences. I have been a dedicated teacher for the previous 4 years, in teaching both physical Sciences and Mathematics in FET. I believe in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment in which students are actively engaged in their own learning process. I prioritise individualised instruction, and adjust my teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of all students. I also like to provide critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and to promote a growth mindset. Collaboration and open communication are key components of my teaching philosophy, as I believe in building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. My goal is to inspire a love for learning and empower students to reach their full potential.

I am looking for a job as a teacher or lecturer. I am an education practitioner with more than 20 years teaching experience. My tertiary education experience includes teaching at Belvedere Technical Teachers College (Zimbabwe: 2008-2009), West Coast FET College (South Africa: 2010-2013) and College of Cape Town (South Africa: 2014). I have taught Geography and Maths Literacy in high schools for more than a decade. In my years in the tertiary education sector, I have taught courses in: Sociology of Education, Philosophy of Education, Theories and Issues in Education and Research Methods. I am therefore capacitated and competent to teach these most modules in education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition to teaching, I have also supervised and evaluated teaching practice in both Zimbabwe and also supervised students on Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programs in South Africa. I have considerable experience in teaching large classes and in applying numerous teaching methodologies that are either teacher-focused, learner-focused, content-focused, interactive or participative. These methods entail direct instruction, demonstration, collaborative learning, memorization and recitation, peer-based learning, discussions or brainstorming, role-play, group work, cooperative learning, problem-solving, gaming, facilitation and many other approaches. I regard teaching as a process where the teacher creates an environment that is enabling for students to make connections between the knowledge that they already possess and that which they need to have through active participation.
