Project Overview

The principal objective of the project is to increase the access to clean water in Gicumbi district. The project will also contribute to enhanced hygiene and sanitation hence reduction of water borne diseases. This will also contribute to alleviation of poverty within the area through the improvement of the socio-economic activities in targeted area.

We are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader with a minimum of 12 years' of general experience and 8 years' of experience as a Team Leader in water infrastructure projects to join our site supervision team in the region. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership in the delivery of complex infrastructure projects, strong contract administration skills, and the ability in managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring quality control, compliance, and efficient progress across all phases of construction. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful execution of a major development initiative within a dynamic and collaborative project.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
  • Liaison with the other members of the Engineering Team;
  • Reporting to Employers Representative;
  • Dealing with contractual matters on-site related to project works;
  • Coordinating Contract interfaces with respect to project works;
  • Liaison with Stakeholders;
  • Assessment of Contractor claims and writing reports on the same;
  • Assessment of Contractor payment applications against work completed and contractor performance against Contractual KPIs;
  • Assessment of Contractor submissions including method statements and preparation of clear comments;
  • Reviewing Contractor design submissions against Employers requirements and preparation of clear comments;
  • Supervision of the works, keeping records, measuring, managing correspondence, and contractual documentation;
  • Maintaining a culture of continuous improvement across all aspects of the working environment and projects;
  • To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, additional tasks and responsibilities will form part of this role as it evolves.
  • Perform other such duties as may be reasonably required.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required
  • Masters degree in Civil Engineering or water supply engineering;
  • At least 12 years of general experience and at least 8 years of experience working as a Team Lead;
  • Proven work experience in similar assignments;
  • Specific experience in similar works for at least 2 projects of such magnitude.
