Core Description The purpose of the job is to support Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) compliance across BCX operations in the region in line with the OHS Act, Group OHS Policies & Client-specific programs thereby ensuring that Safety is integrated into all aspects. The Incumbent, supported by the BUs Health, Safety, Security and Environment Manager and the Leadership team, will Plan, Implement, Monitor and Coordinate several related programs for all BU Operations.
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
- Support the development of OHS policies and programmes.
- Conduct, record, and investigate incidents to determine causes and cascade Learnings from Incidents (LFIs).
- Analyze Safety Statistics and drive Toolbox Campaigns.
- Assist with Risk Assessments and enforce Preventative Measures.
- Ensure Safety Files are accurately updated and current.
- Conduct Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) induction and training.
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. PPE adherence).
- Compile, analyse, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents and present to HSSE Manager & Management.
- 2 years in health & safety support, industrial, or IoT/OT environments.
- Experience with incident reporting and safety inspections.
- Assisted in toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry Level of Engagement & Span of Control Engagement with all levels within the organisation, internal and external to the business.
