A Technical Sales Representative position has become available within the Petrochemical industries, based in Secunda.

Qualifications

• A Degree or National Diploma or equivalent in Chemistry/ Biochemistry / Microbiology / Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering is a pre-requisite.

Experience

• A Minimum of 2 years relevant technical sales experience.

Exposure to/ Experience in the following will be a significant advantage:

• Petrochemical Process treatment
• Boiler water treatment
• Raw water flocculation treatment
• Cooling water treatment
• Liquid/solid separation
• Written service reports
• Having done internal service inspections of related equipment at customer sites
• Experience in polymer application to solid/liquid separation.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

• Ensure sustainability and growth of a specific account/accounts by conducting the following activities in accordance with The Company Way
• Ensure existing applications and equipment are maintained and technical services are performed to ensure optimal performance
• Ensure that the sales efforts are aligned with Company marketing strategy
• Maintain and improve SHERQ performance to deliver targeted sales at the lowest possible risk to the company
• Manage assigned accounts and implementing Continuous Improvements and Projects

The successful candidate will be a people-person, practically orientated, able to handle pressure, a problem solver and a team member who is self-motivated. They must be able to communicate at all levels, be organized and self-disciplined.

Candidate needs to be computer literate in Microsoft packages and understand business systems and be able to produce technical reports.
