Field Service Technician - Industrial Central Region (Secunda)
Responsible for the assembly, installation, alteration, repair and testing, as well as fault diagnosis of dosing equipment. This covers both electrical/electronic and mechanical work.Conducting all activities safely according to OHASA and AECI Water SHEQ requirements.
Required outputs: Functional
- Do installations and maintenance services on our existing dosing equipment (Electrical & Mechanical)
- Provide guidance and recommendations for the installations of new dosing equipment
- Advice on better and more efficient technology for our dosing stations
- Work closely with service specialist to ensure proper maintenance of AECI resources
- Response to call outs and standby duties
- Safety Inspections PTRAs and House keeping
- Maintain workshop Tools and Equipment
- Maintain good housekeeping at the workshop and at the plant
- Comply with governance and compliance policies and procedures, work within established policies, systems, procedures, processes and practices
- Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards
- Ensure safety and health, sustainability and quality standards are maintained
- Be prepared to work overtime or respond to call-outs if and when required
- Maintain buildings and yard lights
- Earth leakage Inspections
- Matric/Grade 12.
- Trade Tested (Eletro-mech, boiler maker or equivalent)
- Computer literate: MS Word, MS Excel
- Ability to concentrate for long periods during repetitive work
