We have a job vacancy for Automation Technician to work at our company based in Pinetown.
Main duties:
- Conduct repairs & maintain computer-controlled systems & robotic devices on Haitian / Husky / Engel / Demag Injection Moulding machines;
- Diagnostic checks;
- Monitor automated systems, isolate problems & perform repairs;
- Meet OTIFQ requirements;
- Ensure that ISO 9000 standards incl Health & Safety are adhered to;
- Complete job cards for all breakdowns & maintenance.
Qualifications & experience:
- An Automation Technology or Mechatronics Associate Degree programme;
- Accredited as a qualified Tool-maker or a Fitter;
- Min 3 years exp in an injection environment, with 1-2 years being in a supervisory role;
- Working knowledge of hydraulics & pneumatics, programme logic controllers, electrical circuits, electrical machinery & human-machine interfaces;
- Working knowledge of compressors, chillers & cooling towers, milling machines, lathes;
- Computer literate;
- Must have own transport & willing to work on standby & call outs.
