Qualifications/Experience

• South African citizens/residents are preferred.
• Degree or diploma in IT or relevant testing experience

Essential Skills

• Understanding of systems engineering concepts (SDLC)
• The ability to analyse a process from start to finish
• Test case development
• Modelling techniques and method
• Communication
• Reporting
• OPS & Customer support process flow & tools
• The candidate should be able to:
• Test case creation and Execution.
• Basic Test reporting during test execution (SIT sand UAT)
• Provide system training to identified super users and business testers
• Plan, organize and support test case creation
• Coordinate test data creation with the developers and test analysts
• Assist in the execution of test cases and defect retesting
• Track new/changed requirements and ensure these are addressed during testing
• Ensure entry/exit criteria for all test phases are met in time
• Ensure that project time allocated to testing are utilized efficiently and effectively.
• Daily monitoring & action of Production tickets coming into ITSM.
• Assisting with configuration & monitoring of PROD app performance.
• Following up on ticket investigation, resolution, and feedback to end-users.
• Weekly / monthly reporting dashboard updates on ITSM issues.
• Availability to provide OPS support during the holiday season (On rotation / on call)

Advantageous Skills

• Knowledge of Group, ITPM, AWM (Advantageous)
• Excellent proficiency in the Agile Tool Chain (JIRA, Confluence, X-ray)

ROLE:

• Core Role tasks and responsibilities:
• Ensure that all processes are investigated/considered in obtaining the specifications of the user requirements.
• Propose and review system design and evaluate alternatives.
• Review and present proposed system solution to IT Project Lead or Product owner.
• Develop system solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements.
• Ensure that the following steps in the Development Cycle are executed:
• Preparation of system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards)
• Preparation of user and operation manual
• User training
• System testing/parallel runs
• System implementation
• System audits/quality assurance
• Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required.
