To maintain the homes of Taff Housing residents and communal facilities. Supporting the service aims to provide homes that are safe, comfortable, well maintained and located in environments that are pleasant for all users.
Requirements
- Served an apprenticeship in carpentry or obtained an equivalent NVQ level 3 in carpentry
- Experience of working as a carpenter in the building trade, either as a carpenter or as a multi skilled carpenter
- Basic plumbing skills
- Plaster patching
- Fencing
- Flooring (Safety flooring)
- Gain access to property/lock change
- Carry out UPVC window and composite door repairs
- Knowledge of Health and Safety
- Ability to record detailed and accurate repair information relating to repair inspections or completed repair jobs
- Experience of working with a range of portable tools, small plant, ladders, tower scaffold and equipment to enable duties of the job to be carried out
- Ability to drive.
