COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Our client operates within the recruitment, resources, consulting and training fields and looking for an individual with admin, payroll and finance experience to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide back-office services such as accounts payable, collections and payroll
  • Develop & maintain external partnerships (suppliers, auditors & financial institutions)
  • Ensure smooth running of the office on a day-to-day basis and may manage a team of administrative or support staff.
  • Managing databases
  • Ordering stationery
  • Maintain strict filing schedule
  • Assist with Financial year end
  • Supervising and monitoring the work of administrative staff
  • Liaising with staff, suppliers, and clients
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems
  • Delegating tasks to junior employees
  • Organising induction programs for new employees
  • Ensuring that health and safety policies are up to date
  • Human resources function by keeping personnel records up to date
  • Contracts of Employment
  • Leave
  • Preparing and calculation of Hours for Payroll for weekly wages as well as monthly salaries
  • Processing of payroll on simple pay
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Matric
  • Financial / payroll related tertiary qualification (beneficial, but not a must)
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • 10 + years experience in a similar position
  • Proven strong administrative experience.
  • Efficient time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Strong and dependable personality that can manage heavy workloads with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently as a self- starter or within the team.
  • Computer literate Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Be flexible in your position
  • Be able to work under pressure
