We are looking for a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Trainee Retail Manager. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for retail, a strong customer service mindset, and a desire to grow into a leadership role. You will be trained across all aspects of store operations, from stock control to team supervision, ensuring excellent service and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including staff supervision and shift planning
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer queries/complaints efficiently
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory
- Support merchandising, promotional displays, and store layout according to brand standards
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene procedures are followed
- Analyze sales reports and contribute ideas to improve store performance
- Work closely with senior managers to learn retail management skills
- Participate in regular training and development programs
- Matric / Grade 12 (further qualifications in Retail Management or Business are an advantage)
- 12 years of retail or customer service experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced retail environment
- Availability to work retail hours (weekends, holidays, and shifts)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
