- We are seeking two highly skilled and experienced 793D CAT Truck Operators for an open cast
- mining project in the DRC. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 10 years experience
- in open cast mining operations and be capable of operating CAT 793D haul trucks efficiently
- and safely in challenging environments.
- Operate CAT 793D haul trucks for the transportation of ore and waste in an open pit
- mining environment.
- Conduct thorough pre-operation checks and report any faults or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to safety and operational procedures as per site standards.
- Maintain high levels of productivity while ensuring safe operation at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to coordinate haul
- cycles.
- Assist with minor troubleshooting and support maintenance teams when necessary.
- Record and report operational data as required by supervisors.
- South African citizenship (non-negotiable).
- Minimum of 10 years experience in open cast mining.
- Proven operational experience specifically on CAT 793D haul trucks.
- Valid drivers license and certified to operate heavy mining equipment.
- Medically fit to work in remote locations and under a rotational schedule.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and mining best practices.
- Employment Conditions:
- 9 weeks in-country rotation (DRC), 3 weeks paid leave in South Africa
- 2 travel days provided
