Purpose Of The Role

As a SQL Database Administrator (DBA), you will be tasked with designing, implementing, maintaining, and refining our SQL database systems. Working closely with our development and infrastructure team is essential to enhance database performance, uphold data integrity, and oversee backups.

Key Performance Areas

Form part of the core team for an exciting Greenfield project.

Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB database instances.

Implement and/or manage database security, access controls, and data encryption.

Maintain Database Backups (Ensure backups occur and test backups regularly)

Monitor Database performance and implement performance optimisations in a controlled manner where necessary.

Optimize SQL queries and provide query performance tuning where applicable.

Collaborate with developers to design efficient database schemas.

Stay up to date with database technologies and best practices.
