The Role
We are seeking a talented, organized, and social-native Video Editor to support content and paid media efforts across organic social and performance marketing.
You will work with a fast-growing consumer wellness brand that produces nicotine-free, caffeine-free focus pouches. Their products are powered by a clean, research-backed blend of nootropics designed to deliver instant focus and smooth, sustained energy.
This role is ideal for an editor early in their career but deeply fluent in TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, with a strong understanding of what makes short-form video perform. The majority of your work will involve taking video content produced by creators and turning it into high-performing ads using captions, b-roll, strong transitions, and trending music.
You must be comfortable editing quickly, iterating often, and working with modern tools like CapCut, while continuing to develop your craft in a fast-moving DTC environment.
Key Responsibilities
Social & Organic Video Editing
- Edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms
- Cut videos with strong hooks, clear story flow, and platform-appropriate pacing
- Select and integrate trending sounds, music, and audio formats
- Add captions, text overlays, emojis, transitions, graphic elements, and effects to enhance engagement and clarity
- Edit video ads for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other paid platforms
- Produce multiple versions of the same concept for creative testing (hook swaps, cut-downs, pacing variations, CTA changes)
- Apply feedback from performance results to continuously improve future edits
- Repurpose long-form or raw footage into short-form, platform-native clips
- Take creative direction well and implement feedback efficiently, while proactively improving pacing, hooks, and visual storytelling
- Collaborate with Creative, Growth, and Performance teams to deliver video assets aligned with brand voice and goals
- Keep project files, exports, and versions well-organized using clear naming conventions to support fast iteration
- Experience: 1+ year of video editing experience (brand-side, agency, or freelance)
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CapCut is required; familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects is expected
- Social Fluency: Strong experience editing short-form social video with a deep understanding of trends, sounds, and formats
- Creative Approach: Strong sense of pacing, timing, and storytelling for social platforms; comfortable working with UGC and lo-fi footage Workflow: Ability to work in fast iteration cycles and creative testing environments; detail-oriented and reliable
- Availability: Willingness to overlap with U.S. hours for meetings
- Proficiency in motion graphics (After Effects or equivalent)
- Experience with 3D rendering tools (Cinema 4D, Plasticity, etc.)
