Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Assistant Manager Fire and Rescue and will be responsible but not limited to the following:
- Collect all Wildlife data, conduct trend analysis and report findings.
- Monitor physical wellbeing of working dogs and action when necessary.
- Ensure serviceability and safeguarding of relevant facilities, vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, ACSA policies and procedures, employee manual and Service Level Agreements/MOU to ensure business continuity.
- Monitor and identify ditches and trenches on the airfield and escalate
- Monitor and identify damming areas on the airfield and escalate.
- Conduct inspections and patrols to reduce potential hazards and take remedial action.
- Facilitate and coordinate educational Wildlife awareness programmes.
- Attend mandatory Aviation training as per ACSA policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
- Attend identified development programmes for succession planning purposes.
- Participate in educational Wildlife awareness programmes.
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:
- National Senior Certificate is essential.
- National Diploma (NQF 6) in relevant field is recommended.
- Higher Certificate (NQF 5) in relevant field is recommended.
- No experience is required.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office
- Code B drivers license is required
