Overview
As a WordPress Developer at Jimbu, you will be tasked with creating and maintaining visually appealing, fully functional websites based on bespoke designs. Youll need to have hands-on experience working with a range of themes and page builders to manage various client websites. A deep understanding of WordPress, a keen eye for design, and strong content management abilities are essential. Ultimately, were looking for a WordPress specialist who can craft intuitive, user-friendly websites that align with both design and functionality goals while supporting the overall objectives of our clients.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience working as a WordPress developer
- Expertise in developing eCommerce websites using WooCommerce
- Ability to update and maintain websites across multiple themes
- Solid understanding of HTML and CSS
- A good grasp of design fundamentals
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) best practices
- Experience using debugging tools
- Familiarity with website architecture and aesthetics
- Basic Photoshop skills (for identifying fonts, colors, and exporting assets from designs)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work systematically through project briefs, delivering feedback and updates to the team and clients
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of SEO and how website structure and content impact search engine optimisation
- Basic SEO setup skills using plugins for newly launched sites
- Experience with domains, hosting, databases, and FTP, specifically for WordPress website builds.
