Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Johannesburg for a Workshop Manager. The Workshop Manager will oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to timelines, and high-quality output. Responsibilities include managing production schedules, supervising team members, enforcing safety protocols, maintaining inventory, and ensuring equipment reliability. The role requires leadership and effective coordination with other departments to meet project goals.

- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate workshop staff effectively.
- Technical knowledge in structural steel fabrication, gates, and balustrade production processes.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage production schedules and workflow efficiently.
- Proficiency in safety protocols and practices, as well as equipment and maintenance management.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle challenges and ensure quality standards are met.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a workshop management role, particularly within the construction or steel fabrication industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate between departments and liaise with clients.
- Familiarity with inventory and supply chain management is advantageous.
