Position Overview
MRI Software is seeking a Manager of Business Operations to join our team in Cape Town SA. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of their SA region Operations team members in the Business Operations departments. This individual will also be responsible in an individual contributor capacity to assist in cross-functional program management activities. This role will report directly to the Director of Business Operations in South Africa, with dotted line reporting to Business global Operations leadership.
Responsibilities
- Local Business Operations oversight, leadership, and people management of approximately 10 SA Business Operations employees part of the SA Delivery Operations, Business Intelligence Operations, Project Management Operations, and Revenue Applications teams
- Drive global integration and standardization in the SA region. Work with Business Operations Department Leadership to build a better global infrastructure built for scale through adoption of policies, standard operating procedures, and training/cross-training for SA Services teams;
- Coordinating and leading project teams: responsible for coordinating and leading cross-functional project teams in alignment with project goals, priorities and objectives.
- Engage with local and global business leaders (NA, EMEA, and APAC) to enhance the operational impact, drive consistency, and scale for growth.
- Serve as a trusted partner to the Director of Business Operations, acting as a key liaison between SA operations and Global leadership.
- Be the key advocate for the unique needs of the SA region while contributing to the overall global strategy.
- Optimize solutions to enhance performance, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across Business Operations functions.
- Provide vision and strategic direction aligned with MRIs broader services objectives, driving the success of technology initiatives and operational goals.
- Lead and manage cross-functional programs and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation, ensuring seamless communication across teams.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Continuously assess and refine processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across global teams, acting as a bridge between SA operations and international stakeholders.
- Ensure clear, consistent communication regarding project progress, team performance, and operational updates.
- Serve as a key representative for the SA Business Operations team within the global leadership structure.
- 5+ year experience within a Business Management or related field
- 5+ year experience managing a global team or other relevant leadership experience
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to inspire a team to achieve great things
- Execution: Demonstrated ability to take concrete actions to deliver and inspire
- Polished skills in communication, leadership, planning, motivation, coaching and cross team collaboration
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills
- Collaborator with Problem Solving, Can-do Mindset and a client centric focus
- Bachelors degree in Business Management or related field; Masters preferred and/or relevant qualification and/or relevant experience
