In my previous role as Operations Manager at Chisa Multi Projects in Polokwane from February 2018 to February 2021, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process. Key responsibilities in my tenure included: Tender Procedures & Material Procurement: I meticulously managed the tendering process, ensuring precision in material extraction from drawings for procurement purposes. I supervised the procurement and timely delivery of materials, guaranteeing that our projects had the necessary resources to progress smoothly. Draughting & Workshop Drawings: I utilized TurboCAD (2D) to produce detailed workshop drawings, reflecting my proficiency in design and planning. My rigorous checks on these drawings before fabrication ensured high accuracy and quality in our constructions. Quality Control & Erection: I maintained stringent quality control measures throughout the fabrication process, overseeing the correctness and quality of finished products. I also actively participated in the on-site erection of steel structures, ensuring that all constructions met industry standards. Project Management & Site Meetings: I led and contributed to site meetings, fostering effective communication and collaboration among various construction teams. My role involved managing and monitoring these teams to adhere strictly to project timelines and quality standards. Notably, I led the demolition and rebuilding of 45 residential houses and the refurbishment of 22 houses for Anglo American’s ATOK Mine, demonstrating my capability in managing large-scale housing projects.
