Artisan carpenter
o Maintenance of existing building structure and furniture
o To ensure all works requisitions and job cards are completed on a daily basis.
o To ensure that all carpentry maintenance work and services are completed on a daily basis.
o To ensure that preventative maintenance is carried out through regular inspections of buildings.
o To keep record and control over tools and machines in respect of carpentry services.
o To work independently and complete all stand-by related work.
o Plan, prioritize and schedule maintenance work
o Cut and assemble book shelfs and study desk for students rooms.
o Cut, edge, assemble and fit build in cupboard.
o Ensure availability of material and equipment
o Providing of timeous feedback on incidents / issues / risks.
o Approve and allocate job cards to other Artisans , Operators and handymen
o Monitor and evaluate progress of tasks assigned to the Operators
o Conduct inspection after a projected is completed
o Close job card using On Key 5 Pragma System
o Act as Artisan Foreman when the foreman is absent
o Work on standby and after hours when required
o Supervision of Operator Carpenters
o Assist with the management of workshop
o Exercise control over tools and materials
o Monitoring, requesting and replacing of equipment / assets.
o Submit Budget inputs for the section
o Assist with specification of maintenance material and equipment
